Overview
Let savers name a goal, set its amount and deadline, and see how far each deposit has moved them. Users given it saved more a month: though most goals still passed their deadline unfunded.
Most people do not save enough to withstand an income shock or prepare for retirement, and little is known about how to correct that at scale (Gargano and Rossi).
Fits when
- Goals with horizons of a year or less
- Savers who were not already checking their savings closely
- Users with higher financial literacy
