A play should show what was observed, what the evidence supports, and where the borrowed material came from.
Motifs researches product and growth moves for people building with a coding agent. A play should be usable by a small builder, have a cited reason to believe, and be worth the effort saved. Current product behavior is dated when observed. Older studies can support a play, but they do not establish what a product does today.
The library includes different evidence stages. Sourced plays are grounded in cited studies, reports, or accounts but may not yet have dated cross-product observations or a working component. A provisional or reviewed play requires observations from at least three distinct products at the same moment. A badge describes the record’s stage, not a guarantee of results.
Each evidence entry names its source, gives a link, identifies the kind of evidence, and says what it does not establish. A number leads where a source reports one, with context for what was measured and when. Untested reasoning is labelled as such; a company’s account is not treated as an independent experiment.
The public play page shows a concise reading view and caveats. Members can open the full evidence list on the page. A copied play record also carries the sources and their limits, subject to the ordinary free-copy allowance or membership access. The agent receives the same record rather than a separate, stripped account.
Some thumbnails include a screen from a named product. Its source and product are credited on the play page, with a link to where the image was found. Screens illustrate an interface at a point in time; they do not prove that a measured outcome came from that version of the screen. Drawn visuals are illustrations, not product captures. Product names and marks belong to their owners, and inclusion does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
If a citation is broken, a claim is overstated, a screen is misattributed, or you own material shown here and have a concern, email motifsdev@gmail.com with the play URL and the source in question. We will review the record, correct its wording or credit, or remove material when appropriate. You can also suggest a play through the feedback form.
